Personal Brand Positioning Statement Generator
Answer the three positioning questions to generate an 'I help whom solve what, in what way' statement and bio candidates.
The three positioning questions
The framework comes from the main site's piece "Personal-brand positioning isn't about slapping labels on yourself": positioning isn't describing yourself — it's making clear who you help and what problem you solve. Everything is generated locally in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
The more specific the better — specific enough that a real person comes to mind, not "everyone who wants to grow."
Use their own words — don't translate it into industry jargon.
Describe your method or approach, not a string of titles.
Optional. Write credible evidence no one can take from you — concrete experience or quantifiable results, not adjectives. Fill it in and you'll get an extra "background-backed" line.
Your positioning statement (updates live as you type once generated)
Standard
Result-oriented · lead with what they escape
Background-backed · with your credible evidence
Don't lock it in yet — run it through the self-check below first, and if it doesn't pass, go back and revise your answers to the three questions.
Bio options (social profile bios)
One-line (aim for ≤ 30 chars)
Two-line (for bios that allow line breaks, like Xiaohongshu or Jike)
Self-check
- Specific enoughThe audience is narrow enough that a real person comes to mind; "helping everyone" means helping no one.
- Plain languageThe problem is in your audience's own words, with zero industry jargon.
- RepeatableAfter hearing it once, someone can retell a friend: "They help ___ solve ___."
- DifferentiatedYour method carries experience or a combination that's uniquely yours — no one else could just slot into it.
- SustainableUnder this positioning you can keep producing content and handle the demand that comes your way.
